ART BIOGRAPHY
At age six, I wanted to be an artist.
My second-grade teacher seemed bent on turning me into a writer-editor so I've had a dual career in both writing and art.

I paint from my art studio in Gainesville, Florida. My paintings of nature and human nature are inspired by subtropical scenery and wildlife and people who appreciate the outdoors. I also produce unique eco art from palm bark and other natural materials.

In the 1970s I served as Consultant in Ceramics for The Metropolitan Museum of Art and owned a clay studio and storefront by the Brooklyn Bridge. My sculptures were exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum, Brooklyn Museum, Museum of Arts and Design and the Yellowstone Art Museum in Montana.

To learn a way to feel inner peace, I left New York for Florida. Every day the practice of peace supports, enriches and fills me with gratitude. My artwork is an effort to express those good feelings.
