Art Biography
I paint from my art studio in Gainesville, Florida. Once a week, my husband Chris and I visit a nearby spring. (Northcentral Florida has the largest concentration of cold-water springs on the planet.) The scenery, wildlife and people enjoying the outdoors inspire my paintings of nature and human nature.

While living in New York City, I
owned The Hicks St. Clay Studio near the Brooklyn Bridge and served as a Consultant in Ceramics to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, My clay sculptures were exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum, Brooklyn Museum, and Museum of Arts & Design, as well as the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings, Montana. |
I left New York for Gainesville, Florida, to learn a way to feel inner peace. Every day the practice of peace supports, enriches and fills me with gratitude. My artwork is an effort to express those good feelings.
